Description

At Videate, you will be responsible for a lean and effective team of diverse engineers who are geo-distributed.  As we grow, you will be responsible for the growth and evolution of our people, process, and technology.  This includes advancing the personal development of each individual and the overall process for the team as a whole.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with senior management to deliver the product roadmap
  • Developing new products from concept to testing to production
  • Planning and coordinating the work of engineering staff
  • Managing the engineering team ensuring that they meet goals and objectives
  • Overseeing the progress and timeliness of deliverables
  • Recruiting additional engineering staff
  • Providing training and mentoring
  • Conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive

Candidates should have:

  • 5-7 years of experience managing engineering teams
  • A strong technical background, preferably in video streaming and editing technologies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and manage geo-distributed engineers
  • A thorough understanding of the SDLC, quality assurance, automated testing, and large-scale distributed systems in Amazon EC2
